We are looking for a Real Estate Litigation Associate with 3-7 years of experience to support the firm's real estate litigation practice, working alongside experienced partners on sophisticated disputes involving commercial real estate matters. This is an opportunity to handle substantive work at a high level within a well-established, collegial firm that has been operating since 1977.
What will you be doing?
Handling real estate litigation matters independently, including drafting motions, managing discovery, and preparing cases for trial
Supporting partner-level attorneys on complex commercial real estate disputes, including title insurance litigation and acquisition-related disputes
Managing your own caseload with an expectation of 1,700 billable hours annually (~140 hours/month after ramp-up)
Collaborating in-office with partners and other associates to develop case strategy and client relationships
Working on a broad range of real estate litigation matters β not narrow subspecialties β across office buildings, commercial transactions, and financing disputes
Key Requirements
Broad real estate litigation experience β must go beyond just residential or single-issue work (e.g., experience with commercial disputes, title insurance, financing, acquisitions)
Strong writing skills with zero tolerance for grammatical errors or typos in work product
Ability to take over and independently manage cases at a high level of sophistication
Willingness to work in-office 4 days per week in Los Angeles (minimal flexibility for new hires)
JD from a reputable law school β Mentioned examples include UCLA, USC, Loyola, Pepperdine, or equivalent; not pedigree-driven, so substance over school name
