Real Estate Development Acquisition Associate (On-site required)
Pay range: $70,000- $90,0000 depending on experience
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development and Acquisition Associate to join our real estate development team. The ideal candidate will support the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of new acquisition and development opportunities in Senior Housing, including Assisted Living Memory Care, Independent Living, and Active Adult projects. This role is critical to expanding our pipeline and ensuring successful execution of investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Market Research
- Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities through broker networks, direct outreach, and market research
- Analyze market conditions, demographic trends, and competitive landscapes to inform investment strategy
- Financial Analysis & Underwriting
- Develop, maintain, and refine detailed financial models and pro formas for potential acquisitions
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario testing to assess deal risk and return metrics
- Assist in preparing investment committee presentations and supporting materials
- Due Diligence & Transaction Support
- Coordinate third-party consultants (e.g., environmental, engineering, appraisal, title, zoning)
- Review legal documents, entitlement/zoning approvals, and site-level diligence materials
- Support negotiation and execution of LOIs, purchase agreements, and joint venture documents
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams (development, finance, legal, and construction) to transition acquisitions through the development lifecycle
- Provide timely market and deal updates to team members across departments to maintain alignment and transparency
Qualifications
- Two to three years� experience in a commercial real estate role preferred
- Bachelor�s degree required
- Interest in real estate acquisitions, development and private equity
- Strong proficiency in Excel financial modeling
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to excel and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, and team player with a strong work ethic
