About the Role
The CFO plays a pivotal role as the company continues to grow and scale. Working directly with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will be tasked with shaping the financial infrastructure of the company, leading capital market efforts, and ensuring long-term financial health and strategic growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on, strategic finance leader with a passion for real estate development and a track record of success in capital markets, financial operations, and scaling teams. The company is looking for a strong operator and partner — someone who is just as passionate about building as they are.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the company with investors, lenders, and external partners
- Responsible for the management and development of the Finance and Accounting functions of the organization
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Lead all capital raise efforts (equity and debt)
- Drive long-term financial strategy aligned with growth goals
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board
- Build and oversee all financial processes, internal controls, and reporting functions
- Guide the transition to GAAP-based accounting and ensure compliance
- Oversee financial performance and capital allocation of all real estate assets
- Partner on acquisition and development strategy, including due diligence and modeling
- Collaborate across departments to align financial practices with company-wide objectives
- Analyze and optimize portfolio performance
- Build and cultivate Team & Culture
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Finance and Accounting experience with large companies
- CPA is preferred
- Deep experience in Real Estate Development, especially Multifamily and Commercial
- Proven track record raising capital (equity and debt)
- Strategic thinker with the drive to build, not just maintain
- High energy, collaborative, and comfortable working closely with a CEO
- Experience leading finance teams in private, entrepreneurial organizations
- Polished and confident presence for investor relations
- Familiarity with Yardi
