Job Description:

The Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. Duties may include loading and unloading tools or raw materials, assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment as well as the safe operation of scissor lifts and Bob cats. The Laborer performs physical labor throughout the building process.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the Demolition of building structures and MEP equipment.
  • Loads and unloads materials and equipment.
  • Builds and takes down scaffolding and temporary structures.
  • Digs trenches, compacts earth and backfill holes.
  • Operates and tends machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and implement construction plans.
  • Assists skilled tradespeople in their duties.
  • Carries duties related to opening and closing the site
  • Maintains site clean and orderly meeting sanitation standards
  • Reads and interprets safety and employment manuals and other work-related documents
  • Assists in an entire team effort
  • Complies and follows all safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly facility
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • Ability to perform physical labor
  • Possess basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good reading skills, preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certified (Preferred but not mandatory)
  • Highly efficient and trained in the use of power/Hand tools
  • Trained in the use of scissor lifts and telehandlers.
