SUMMARY

Partner has an exciting opportunity for a talented full-time Environmental Project Manager to support our ever-growing Environmental Solutions Practice on projects throughout the northeastern United States out of Partner’s Irvine, California, office.  The group focuses on site characterization, risk assessments, implementation of remedial actions, regulatory interaction, and reporting.  Interested individuals will have the opportunity to collaborate with our current team of experienced professionals to perform Project Manager responsibilities related to environmental investigation and remediation across a portfolio of diverse and interesting project sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS 

  • With limited guidance, support Senior team members to manage multiple projects concurrently to meet technical, regulatory, quality, scheduling, and budgetary requirements
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of site investigations and remedial activities at various sites
  • Prepare and review regulatory and technical reports
  • Coordinate the efforts of Partner team members to complete and deliver projects according to schedule/budget effectively
  • Oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members, as well as assist in the mentorship and training of junior staff
  • As needed, oversee and field-implement detailed remedial action projects (e.g., remedial system design/installation, UST removals, soil characterization and disposal, redevelopment, and logistically challenging Sites)
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress is on schedule and in accordance with regulatory timeframes while providing timely progress reports, recommendations, and maintaining communication with the appropriate individuals
  • Collaborate with Senior Project Management to provide sound recommendations and solutions to Relationship Managers and Clients
  • Manage Client and regulatory agency follow-up, questions, and concerns
  • Manage subcontractor and client invoicing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in investigating environmentally impacted sites
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and complete a wide range of project tasks, including client management, proposal preparation/cost estimating, work plan preparation, report writing, field work, and subcontractor coordination
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
  • Exceptional technical report writing and reviewing skills
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team and the Client group
  • Understanding of the concepts of environmental consulting as it pertains to risk management and due diligence

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 6-10 years of relevant work experience on site remediation projects with knowledge associated with California Environmental Regulations 
  • Project experience in one or more of the following states: Arizona or Nevada is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in geology, environmental science, engineering, or a similar discipline
  • Post-degree in an earth science or engineering discipline is a plus
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER trained

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass a baseline physical exam and respirator fit test
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English and communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and the computer screen
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
  • Possible limited travel to other states, generally Arizona and Nevada

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $100,000 -$125,000

The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.  You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program, which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
