We are in search of a visionary Technical Product Manager to join as a founding member of our engineering team. This role is crucial in delivery & execution of our product, all while embracing the Pivotal Labs framework to foster a culture of collaboration, rapid iteration, and user-centric design.
The product is a pre-launch software solution designed to transform the residential home inspection process. Created with the needs of professional home inspectors in mind, this cutting-edge tool leverages advanced technology to make inspections more thorough, efficient, and accurate. The app will be a universal Flutter application deployed on web, mobile, tablet and desktop target environments. However, web applications using Angular technology is a possible consideration. It will have a microservice architecture running on Google Cloud Platform. REST and event-based messaging will be used for interservice communication. Backend services will be written in Java and built using the SpringBoot framework. Redis will be used for caching data. ElasticSearch and Postgres will be used for storing and querying data.

The Senior Technical Product Manager will lead our dynamic team, comprising designers, full-stack engineers, QA, and DevOps, along with a group of domain-expert stakeholders, to deliver innovative solutions that meet our customers' evolving needs. You will embody and promote XP values, offering technical direction and ensuring our product not only meets but exceeds user and business expectations.
Product Champion:
Co-lead the User-Centered Design & Development process alongside UX designers.
Establish an Outcome-Oriented Product Roadmap, planning around outcomes to achieve business objectives.
Own, manage, and prioritize the development product backlog, defining features and constructing user stories that deliver individual value.
Facilitate development & delivery orchestration, ensuring adherence to XP Values and weekly delivery cadences.
Oversee release management & execution, including planning and blue/green deployments, while supporting change management and resolving production incidents.
Servant Leadership:
Provide guidance and support to a balanced team, removing blockers and helping maintain a sustainable pace.
Foster an environment of open communication, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed of progress.
Communication:
Manage stakeholder relationships across various levels within the organization, translating business needs into technical terms and vice versa.
Job Qualifications:
7+ years of contributing on a product development team as an engineer, technical business analyst or a technical product manager
Demonstrated ability to self-manage, prioritize, and drive results.
Strong experience with cloud-native ecosystems and Lean Product Design/Software Development principles.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and influence decision-making across a wide variety of roles.
Ability to quickly come up to speed with our overall tech stack
Excellent decision-making skills and experience guiding prioritization; ability to make trade-off decisions to meet internal customer needs and internal technology constraints
Proven track record of delivering quality work on time, leading cross-functional teams and knowledgeable in UX design, technology and data analysis
Nice to have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, or a related field.
Domain-specific industry experience in Real Estate, Insurance, Mortgage, Commercial or Residential Tax a plus
Annual Pay Range:
