What You Will Do:

The Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the negotiation of land and zoning approvals in collaboration with outside consultants. The Development Coordinator oversees the budget for land development projects and ensures completion of these projects. Also, responsible for assisting in managing several real estate development projects.

  • Oversees control project costs with job cost reports, contract administration, and invoice management.

  • Manages the negotiation of land/zoning approvals with local approving authorities and agreements with outside Consultants.

  • Creates and completes land development projects on time and within budget.

  • Supports the management of real estate development projects using outside consultants and supporting development staff.

  • Maintains ongoing working knowledge of local land acquisition markets.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of current market prices in relevant municipalities.

  • Participates in the sales and marketing initiatives throughout the development process.

  • Assists the Development Department with special projects as necessary.

  • Performs other duties are required.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Some experience in the analysis, acquisition, entitlement, development, and marketing of residential land is an asset.

  • Experience in the real estate industry in the area is an asset.

  • An understanding of and familiarity with the planning and engineering approval process

  • Understanding of budgeting, cash flows, pro forma analysis, and general real estate underwriting analysis

  • Construction site experience, as well as financial statements, is essential.

  • Experience in reading and understanding consultant’s drawings (architectural, landscape, mechanical, electrical, etc.) is an asset.

The noise level on the project site work environment can be high, but are low in the office environment.
