Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Acquisitions Associate with a strong background in asset management to join our dynamic team managing a diverse commercial real estate portfolio. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about sourcing, underwriting, and closing real estate transactions across multiple asset classes. The Acquisitions Associate will also support leasing and asset management initiatives to ensure the long-term success of our portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor�s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Active California Real Estate License required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate acquisitions and asset management
  • Proven track record of sourcing and closing commercial real estate transactions
  • Strong network of contacts in the California real estate market
  • Proficiency in Excel (DCF, IRR, NPV, sensitivity analysis)
  • Familiarity with real estate asset classes including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and mixed-use
  • Experience with legal documentation, lease review, and financial due diligence

Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate new acquisition and development opportunities
  • Underwrite and present investment opportunities to the Acquisition Committee
  • Negotiate and close real estate transactions in collaboration with legal and finance teams
  • Conduct market research, tenant credit analysis, and third-party report reviews
  • Assist with leasing and marketing efforts, including drafting LOIs and evaluating lease comps
  • Collaborate with the Director of Asset Management to ensure adherence to business plans
  • Monitor asset performance and provide strategic recommendations
  • Prepare investment summaries, pitch decks, and market reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
